Can I whiten my porcelain Veneers?
- Stephanie

Dear Stephanie,
Actually no. A porcelain veneer should not change color. If a patient wants to have whiter teeth they should whiten their natural teeth first then match their porcelain veneers to the new whiter color of the surrounding teeth. The veneer will remain the desired color.

Does bleaching damage your teeth and gums?
- Bob

Bob,
BleachingĀ is very safe for teeth and gums when administered properly and well monitored. The Zoom Whitening technique, done in the office, protects the gums by an isolation process (pictured on this website under Zoom Whitening) and is closely monitored during the whitening procedure. Patients who choose the home method receive custom made trays to fit their mouth and teeth, and very specific instruction for the time and placement of the whitening gel to ensure maximum whitening and comfort. In addition, it is important to follow-up with an in office check along the way so that the process can be properly monitored for effectiveness.
